Kids Inc Gravesend Awarded 'Good' Ofsted Rating!

Kids Inc Nurseries are thrilled to announce that Ofsted has awarded Kids Inc Day Nursery Gravesend a ‘Good’ rating in its first-ever inspection since opening in 2022. The success of this inspection is testimony to the amazing team, who are committed to providing exceptional care and education to each and every child at the nursery.

The Ofsted inspector praised various aspects of the nursery, stating:

‘Children arrive happy and confident. Parents and carers are welcomed to the setting and are warmly greeted by their key person. Leaders are passionate about providing children and their families with the very best care and education. Parents speak highly of the nursery. They are happy with the communication they receive, which includes daily updates on an online app, alongside verbal feedback and newsletters. There is a secure key person approach. Children have built trusting relationships with those looking after them.’

At Kids Inc Gravesend, the curriculum places a strong focus on learning through play in the large outside space, building confidence and encouraging exploration and imagination. The inspector’s report also highlighted how staff work to help emotional development and model positive behaviour:

‘The staff have high expectations for children’s behaviour and are good role models. The curriculum is well-planned in each room to meet the needs of the children. Children enjoy being physically active in their play. The large outside space inspires children to explore and use their imaginations. There is an open and positive culture around safeguarding that puts children’s interests first.’

The special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) was praised for ensuring that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive the support they need at the earliest opportunity:

‘The passionate special educational needs coordinator has a good understanding of her role and responsibilities. She works well with parents and outside agencies.’
