Kids Inc Donate to Baby Banks for Christmas!

In the lead-up to Christmas, Kids Inc Nurseries have donated a vast array of essentials for babies to two baby banks, local to our head office in Redbridge, London. These baby banks are Orchard Baby Bank in Woodford Green and Loxford Baby & Toddler Bank in Ilford. Christmas can be a difficult time for many families, especially during the current cost-of-living crisis, and we truly believe that every child deserves the best start in life. The volunteers at the baby banks were sincerely grateful for the donations.

Items that we donated included nappies, wipes, baby formula, baby bottles, teething toys, bibs, muslins, bodysuits, onesies, blankets and some baby toys.

Baby banks are essential for struggling parents and rely on donations in order to support families in need of the bare necessities. Without the baby banks, many families struggle to give their children what they need for healthy growth and development. Baby banks do amazing work and all items are free to parents in need.

How can you help?

If you have children who have outgrown their clothes or if you have any baby/child equipment that you no longer use, then you can easily donate these to your local baby bank. If you’re unsure of where your nearest baby bank is, Little Village has a map on their website of all baby banks in the UK. As most baby banks are run by volunteers, we strongly recommend that once you’ve found your nearest baby bank, you give them a call to check when is best to visit as most baby banks are open for a few days in the week at varying times.
