Kids Inc Nurseries Earn Prestigious Eco-Schools Green Flag Award

Kids Inc Nurseries are delighted to announce that all of our nurseries have been awarded the coveted Eco-Schools Green Flag. This accolade is a testament to our commitment to sustainability and the efforts of our staff, children, and their families in promoting environmental awareness.

The Green Flag Award, part of the world’s largest sustainable schools programme, recognises institutions that successfully integrate eco-friendly practices into their daily routines and curriculum.

Eco-Committees: Driving Change

Our Eco-Committees, made up of enthusiastic children and adult Eco-Coordinators, have led projects such as:

Waste Reduction: Introducing comprehensive recycling programmes and reducing single-use plastics.
Energy Efficiency: Installing energy-efficient lighting and educating children about conserving energy.
Biodiversity Projects: Creating garden spaces to grow vegetables and flowers and encouraging wildlife with bird feeders and bug hotels.
Water Conservation: Teaching children about the importance of saving water and implementing rainwater harvesting systems.
Community Involvement: Engaging families and the local community in environmental projects and events.

Learning Through Action

By incorporating environmental themes into learning, we help children understand the importance and impact of their eco-friendly actions.
